Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all People Until There is No Place Left
Park Community Church was founded in 1989 out of Moody Church with the vision of creating a gospel-centered church for 20-year-olds in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Since its inception, Park has grown from being one church in one neighborhood to 15 churches in eight neighborhoods and has sent nearly 50 people to serve in places around the world with little to no gospel presence.
Although our vision has changed over the years, the mission has always been to reach those around us with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's what we do, whether it's through our local churches here in the city or our global partners around the world.

Join us in our Mission
At Park, we believe in the importance of family, and with that, our interdependence strengthens and accelerates our ability to proclaim the gospel.
As a family of churches, we have a commission from Matthew 28:19 to bring the Good News to all people and to all places across the world so that they can know Jesus and follow him. You're invited to join us in our mission to make disciples, equip the saints, send them out, and spread far and wide.

We Value the Gospel
We believe the good news about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. By the grace of God alone, through faith in Christ alone, we’ve been granted a righteousness not our own. By this grace, our relationship to God is restored, makes us his children and gives us responsibility to take part in his on-going redeeming work in the world. The gospel is the foundation of the church, motivating us to embody Jesus’ ways, while empowering us for selfless service and proclamation to all people.

We Value Family
The most frequent metaphor used to describe God’s people throughout Scripture is family, and as adopted sons and daughters through our faith in Christ- that is what we are! This means we have a shared identity, we are not alone, we work together, we honor one another above ourselves, we encourage, we support, care for those in need, and seek out others to become a part of our family. We acknowledge family can be messy, and that is why we go back to the gospel to remind us of who we are and whose we are to keep us moving forward in the miracle of becoming a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

We Value Movement
Good news is meant to be shared with others, which means the church not only gathers, but goes. We follow Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations by sending, supporting, and going to new spaces, neighborhoods, and countries. Gospel movement happens by planning and spontaneity, by decision-making and risk taking, in forms and creativity. It’s all an adventure following the Spirit and working together to make Christ known by word and deed, while establishing churches who continue the journey far and wide.
